We celebrate the bravery, love, resilience, joy, and sacrifices of our ancestors, past and present, during BLAQ History Month 2024.

Cultivating inclusive and empowering environments for LGBTQ+ youth and aspiring allies.

Our Mission

Kaleidoscope Village is on a mission to ELEVATE diverse LGBTQ+ Youth, EDUCATE aspiring allies, and EMPOWER all members of our community to learn, lead, connect, and thrive as their True Selves.

Our approach transforms school and organizational environments! We provide enriching and affirming youth programs, culturally-relevant training, as well as research-based strategies to ensure visibility, safety, wellbeing, and radical inclusion for all members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Our Why

More than 70% of LGBTQ+ Youth feel unsafe and unsupported in our schools and community spaces, impacting our young people’s wellbeing, academic outcomes, and socio-emotional health. Together, we can change this reality.

Students report harassment based on many aspects of their identities. Studies show youth face mental health challenges, self harm, and low academic performance.

Research shows LGBTQ+ students of color are closely monitored by school staff, affecting their well-being and pushing them toward the justice system.

Our youth experience bullying, rejection, and increased risk of harmful behaviors. Positive, compassionate support and allyship is essential.

  • “If my school showed a more accepting attitude toward other cultures, or different groups of people, I’d feel comfortable. It’d be nice to see a LGBTQ flag, or a sign that says “Safe Place” to know that what I say won’t go to anywhere else, nor will I feel like I’m being judged.”

  • "Kaleidoscope Village is an organization focused on more than just inclusion...[their] mission is about SAVING LIVES."

    -Rejoice, CEO of Vower, Inc.

  • "I am beyond grateful for the knowledge and community I gained in a Kaleidoscope Village session! I learned it's okay to be vulnerable and ask for support. I am taking all of the LGBTQIA2s+ strategies back to my classroom."
